Celebration Mass

  • 9.30 am St Patrick's Feast Day celebration - Church of Our Lady and St Patrick's in the Meadows. Celebrated by Bishop McMahon.

Parade 

Leading the parade this year will be Donal Murphy, representing County Kerry. 

  • 9.45 am Parade Assembly begins at Forest Recreation Ground.
  • 12.00 noon Parade sets off down Mansfield Road, then Milton Street, Upper Parliament Street, Queens Street and into Market Square.
  • 13.00 Greeting of the parade in the Old Market Square.

  • 12.30 – 13.00 Parade Arrival – Civic Greetings

  • All Day – Variety of market stalls serving Irish stew & soda bread, shamrock, Irish memorabilia, music, Irish food products and much more.

City Gallery 

  • Forty Shades of Green Exhibition open all day, Bella Diva singing.  Admission free.
  • Story telling for children by Deirdre O’Byrne from 2.00-2.45 pm.  Admission free.
  • 3-4pm, Have a Go at Gaeilge, learn the Irish language. Admission free.

Bell Inn

  • Music all day from Ged Dowling 
  • Live Irish Session music in the Tudor Bar all afternoon.

Greyfriars 

  • Big Green Fry Up from 10 am
  • Music all day from Three's a Crowd
  • Eamon McCann & his Band (Doors open 8 pm; Entrance £10)

Keogh's Irish Bar 

  • Irish Music all day
  • Na Fianna playing at 8pm
  • BBQ and food served all day on our roof garden. 

The Nottingham Irish Centre

  • Irish music all day
  • Bar opens at 12 Noon - Drinks specials all day
  • Food served all day - Irish stew, bacon, cabbage & spuds, soda bread. Cupcake & chocolate stands.
  • Celtic vs Inter Milan 3pm - ‘Live’ 1967 European Cup Final
  • Durty Linen live at 8pm 
  • Irish Disco from 8pm - Late
  • Free entry and food for the evening  
The Approach
  • Special menu throughout the day from 10 am 
  • Open mic session from 2 pm
  • Evening - Live music with Growling at the Badger & The Richie Muir Band - Entrance free
