The 3 poems that won the Michael Hannon Memorial Poetry competition were read at the Presentation of the Shamrock at the Good Shepherd Church on March 14th 2009. Bridget McNulty gained high commendation from Brendan Murphy for her poem, the junior section was won by Richard McDonald and the senior section was won by Des McMahon (RIP) with a poem submitted by his son.
