10th Annual St Patrick's Day Parade |

 This was the tenth Annual St Patrick's Day event in the city and this year the parade was led by a delegation from Derry City. Luckily the sun just shone through the grey skies and the event is now one of the biggest in the country. Special events included an Art Exhibition by Brian and Mary Evans, storytelling by Clare Murphy from Dublin and a full complement of local bands, singers and musicians. Special guests included popular singer Seán O'Sé and the Lord Mayor of Nottingham and the First Secretary from the Irish Embassy Tony McCullagh. Hot irish stew and soup was provided by Dave Murphy and his able staff. Compere for the day was Gerry Molumby. The whole event was organised by the hard working St Patrick's Day committee who had planned the event over several months with a series of meetings.
